Fiona McLaren MA, MSc, FCIPD
A fascination with the complex relationship between work and well-being prompted her to undertake an MSc in Organisational Psychiatry and Psychology at King’s College London.
Having seen many careers lose pace, promotions lost and relationships damaged, she is passionate about working with people to enhance their effectiveness. Recognizing that work pressures are not always susceptible to change, she works with organisations and individuals to help them develop healthy coping skills
Improving bottom line performance can come from improving individual performance. whether in particular skills areas, in developing healthy work relationships or in developing careers. Particular areas might include raising your game by: managing yourself and your ‘stress’; managing relationships, especially those that are particularly difficult.
She has recently been involved in conducting:
- workplace health audits
- absence management
- outplacement
- attitude surveys
- management and communications audits
- managing change consequences for individuals and organisations
- introducing or reviewing appraisal schemes
- assessment centres
Fiona’s career has ranged over general, sales and personnel management in different business sectors, including several years as HR Director at a City law firm, and includes specialist consultancy for international corporates and small private companies covering a wide range of client organisations from universities, financial institutions, technology-solution companies, area health authorities to barristers’ chambers and professional service firms and a well-known cookery school!
